Desarrolladora Homex, S.A.B. de C.V. announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue was MXN 287 million against MXN 85.83 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 880.03 million against loss of MXN 107.26 million a year ago. This is primarily because the company registered other revenues for MXN 996 million as a result of debt forgiveness from the outstanding principal balance of a credit contract with a company's creditor. Income before taxes on earnings was MXN 763.15 million against loss of MXN 318.43 million a year ago. Consolidated net income was MXN 590.18 million against loss of MXN 144.3 million a year ago. Net income was mainly as a result of the recording of other revenues of MXN 996 million from the debt forgiveness on the outstanding principal balance of a credit contract with a company's creditor. Diluted earnings per share were MXN 0.62 against MXN 0.30 a year ago. For the six months, the company reported total revenue was MXN 434.605 million against MXN 167.27 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 671.91 million principally as a result of the debt forgiveness from the outstanding principal balance of a credit contract with a company's creditor against loss of MXN 192.95 million a year ago. Income before taxes on earnings was MXN 239.23 million against loss of MXN 516.75 million a year ago. Consolidated net income was MXN 257.64 million against loss of MXN 362.23 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were MXN 0.62 against MXN 0.30 a year ago. Net cash flows used in operating activities of MXN 59.276 million and investment in property and equipment of MXN 1.250 million. Total bank indebtedness as of June 30, 2016 was MXN 5,471 million. This debt level reflects the effects of the Restructuring Plan, revolving credit lines with financial institutions used during the period as well as non-capitalized secured debt.
