Designone Japan, Inc. announced non-consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months Ended May 31, 2017. For the quarter, the sales rose to an all-time high of JPY 551 million, increased by 7.5% from the second quarter. This was the steady growth in the number of paid listing stores and option-using stores. Operating income for the third quarter was JPY 162 million, increased by 41.4% from the second quarter, and the operating margin was 29.4%, increased by 7.0 points from the second quarter. The growth is mainly owing to an increase in net sales and a decrease in SG&A expenses including advertising expenses, etc.

For the nine months, the company reported net sales of JPY 1,532 million compared to JPY 1,065 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 440 million compared to JPY 381 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 261 million compared to JPY 240 million a year ago. Net income per diluted share was JPY 17.26 compared to JPY 15.82 a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 450 million compared to JPY 387 million a year ago.

The company provided earnings guidance for the year ending August 31, 2017. For the period, the company expected net sales of JPY 1,950 million, operating income of JPY 600 million, net income of JPY 379 million and net income per share of JPY 25.40. Ordinary income expected to be of JPY 607 million.
