Elematec Corporation announced consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2017. For the year, the company reported net sales of JPY 203,004 million, operating income of JPY 5,406 million, ordinary profit of JPY 5,314 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 1,342 million or JPY 65.57 per share as compared to net sales of JPY 216,824 million, operating income of JPY 6,868 million, ordinary profit of JPY 6,880 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 5,048 million or JPY 246.58 per share for the same period prior year. Return on equity was 3.0% against 11.6% a year ago. Cash flows used in operating activities were JPY 3,309 million against cash flows from operating activities of JPY 7,573 million a year ago.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of JPY 162,848 million, operating income of JPY 2,454 million, ordinary profit of JPY 3,828 million, net income of JPY 2,978 million or JPY 145.47 per share compared to net sales of JPY 137,420 million, operating income of JPY 2,383 million, ordinary profit of JPY 3,976 million, net income of JPY 3,035 million or JPY 148.29 per share for the same period prior year.
The company provided earnings guidance for the full year ending March 31, 2018. For the year, the company expects net sales of JPY 205,000 million, operating income of JPY 5,800 million, ordinary profit of JPY 5,600 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 3,900 million or JPY 190.49 per share.
The company announced a year-end dividend of JPY 10.00 per share for the year ended March 31, 2017, compared with JPY 35.00 per share for the year ended March 31, 2016. The expected starting date of dividend payment is June 16, 2017.
