DETTINGEN/ERMS (dpa-AFX) - The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Swabian automotive supplier ElringKlinger is stepping down. The company based in Dettingen/Erms (Reutlingen district) announced on Thursday that Klaus Eberhardt will step down from his position at the end of the upcoming Annual General Meeting on May 16, 2024, with a view to making early succession arrangements. Eberhardt has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2013 and recently turned 76.

"ElringKlinger is very well positioned for the future path of transformation. The product portfolio is tailored to the future, the key financial figures are robust and point in the right direction," explained Eberhardt. For him, now is the right time to pass on the Supervisory Board mandate and chairmanship to younger hands.

The Nomination Committee of the Supervisory Board will now deal with the succession plan in the short term in order to submit a proposal for the successor to the Supervisory Board at its next meeting on March 26, 2024. This will be presented to the Annual General Meeting on May 16.

ElringKlinger closed the past financial year with record sales despite global challenges. Compared to the previous year, revenue rose by 2.7 percent to around EUR 1.85 billion. Sales revenue had thus reached a record high. ElringKlinger plans to publish its full financial statements on March 27 /tat/DP/men
