DETTINGEN/ERMS (dpa-AFX) - Automotive supplier ElringKlinger has made a better start to the financial year than last year. In the first three months of this year, ElringKlinger increased its sales by 12.2 percent to around EUR 488 million, the company based in Dettingen an der Ems (Reutlingen district) announced on Tuesday. Earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) rose from EUR 14.1 million in the prior-year quarter to EUR 26 million. The bottom line was a profit of 6.7 million euros, significantly higher than a year ago (4 million euros). By contrast, order intake declined from 578.3 million euros in the first quarter of 2022 to 474.9 million euros./rwi/DP/zb
