DETTINGEN/ERMS (dpa-AFX) - Thomas Jessulat is to become the new head of automotive supplier ElringKlinger. The current CFO succeeds Stefan Wolf, as announced by the company on Thursday in Dettingen an der Erms (Reutlingen district). Wolf had announced his retirement in April.

Jessulat had already been interim spokesman of the board since July. He will become chief executive on October 1. The 54-year-old had been Chief Financial Officer since January 2016. Dirk Willers is a new member of the board. He will be responsible for Sales and Marketing in the future.

In the second quarter, ElringKlinger had increased sales and earnings. Sales climbed by around nine percent to EUR 468.7 million. At EUR 16.7 million, earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) were significantly higher than in the same quarter of the previous year. At that time, the company had announced a loss of 97.1 million euros and referred to special effects. The bottom line in the second quarter was a profit of 2.4 million euros.
