Eutelsat: LEO capacity deployed for Telstra in Australia

Eutelsat Group and Telstra announce the start of Eutelsat OneWeb's largest ever deployment of low earth orbit (LEO) backhaul capacity in Australia, as part of a multi-year strategic agreement signed last year.

Under the agreement, LEO capacity will be made available to Telstra customers in Australia's most remote areas, enabling them to take full advantage of real-time applications such as audio and video calls.

More than 300 remote cellular base stations currently using satellite backhaul links will be connected to Eutelsat OneWeb's LEO platform over the next 18 months.
