Budget Insight agreed to acquire Unnax Payments Systems, S.L. from Athos Capital, SGEIC, S.A., Athos Capital, SGEIC, S.A., Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV:ELEKTRA *), CSQ Non Stop Shops SL, Swanlaab Venture Factory SGEIC, S.A. and other private investors for ?40 million on March 31, 2023. The operation, which is pending approval by the Bank of Spain, represents the exit of the company's shareholding of the venture capital firms Segtech Ventures, Athos Capital and Swanlaab Venture Factory, as well as the telecommunications group CSQ, Grupo Elektra and other private investors, who have supported its different rounds of financing. In 2022, it had a turnover of almost ?5 million, up 40% year-on-year.
The founding partners, Julián Díaz-Santos Hernández and Jordi Pérez Rosselló, who had half of Unnax's capital, reinvested part of the amount received in the operation to continue accompanying PSG in the growth process of Unnax in Europe and Latin America. The Transaction is expected to close later this year and The Transaction is subject to regulatory approval and subject to the authorization of Spain?s national competent authority (Banco de España).
