NACCO Industries, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 46.55 million compared to USD 61.79 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 3.83 million compared to net income of USD 10.61 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.51 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 1.45 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.51 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 1.45 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 158.04 million compared to USD 178.19 million a year ago. Net income was USD 4.38 million compared to USD 60.38 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.59 compared to USD 8.27 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.58 compared to USD 8.24 a year ago.
