(Alliance News) - PPHE Hotel Group Ltd on Tuesday said that it will be opening a Berlin hotel in spring alongside Radisson Hotel Group.

The London-based hotel and resort operator, which operates brands including Art'otel and Park Plaza, says the latest hotel is the third signing under its long-standing partnership with Radisson Hotels.

The Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm is expected to open in late spring of 2024, making it the second Radisson RED-branded hotel to be operated by PPHE's Croatian subsidiary Arena Hospitality Group. The hotel will have a "progressive design scheme", according to the company, and offer 133 rooms near to Kurfurstendamm, one of Berlin's notable shopping streets.

This comes after the launch of Radisson RED Belgrade, Serbia, also operated by PPHE. This hotel is set to open in early February.

According to PPHE, this latest hotel is evidence of the pair's intention "to leverage each other's brands and strengths to accelerate expansion", while both benefit from "enhanced brand awareness".

Chief Executive Officer Boris Ivesha said: "We believe the dynamic Radisson RED brand will be an excellent addition to the hotel market in one of Europe's most vibrant capital cities, and will complement our already diversified hotel portfolio. This marks the continuation of our more than 20-year successful partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, which is a key part of our group growth strategy."

Shares in PPHE were untraded on Tuesday morning, last quoted at 1,180.00 pence each.
