United Plantations Berhad Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2023

United Plantations Berhad reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was MYR 470.07 million compared to MYR 701.26 million a year ago. Net income was MYR 159.02 million compared to MYR 184.63 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MYR 0.3834 compared to MYR 0.4451 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was MYR 930.06 million compared to MYR 1,344.17 million a year ago. Net income was MYR 271.11 million compared to MYR 244.33 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MYR 0.6536 compared to MYR 0.589 a year ago.

The plantations segment is engaged in the business of oil palm and coconut cultivation and processing on its plantations in Peninsular Malaysia and Kalimantan, Indonesia. Bhd.
