Bank of the James Financial Group, Inc. announced On July 18, 2023 the Company's board of directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.08 per share to stockholders of record as of September 1, 2023 to be paid on September 15, 2023.

It also provides mortgage loan origination through Bank of the James Mortgage, a division of Bank of the James. It also provides investment advisory services through its wholly owned subsidiary, Pettyjohn, Wood & White, Inc.
