WPG Resources : 2017-05-31 Record production at Tarcoola

WPG Resources Ltd (ASX: WPG) is pleased to advise that a number of production records were set at the Company's Tarcoola gold mine in May.

These include:

• a record 27,104 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 2.57 g/t gold was mined, containing 2,239 ounces;

• mining of the supergene enriched zone has delivered over 2,600 tonnes at a grade exceeding 5.01 g/t; of which over 1,200 tonnes has been crushed at a sampled grade of 6.8 g/t, and

• a record of more than 1,790 ounces of gold in ore was hauled to WPG's Challenger processing hub during the month.

In addition, a daily record of 786 tonnes of ore was hauled from Tarcoola to Challenger on 30 May.

Commenting on these outstanding results, WPG's Chairman Bob Duffin said "Tarcoola is now starting to hit its straps. Blending Tarcoola and Challenger ore at the processing hub allows us to present a consistent and optimum ore stream to the mill. Our Tarcoola strategy is working".
