WPG Resources Ltd. announced further encouraging gold assays from the third fan of drill holes in its phase 2 drilling program in Challenger Deeps. These holes were designed to test the M2 lode at the 70mRL level, which is two levels or 45m below the current production level, as announced on 23 February 2018. This fan of drill holes also passes into the Challenger Deeps mining lease (ML6457), which was granted to allow continued mining of the Challenger Deeps lodes down plunge. Key intercepts on the M2 lode include: 17CUD2246: 0.74m (true width) @ 17.11g/t Au from 23.0m downhole on M2. 17CUD2247: 0.67m (true width) @ 7.36/t Au from 25.40m on M2. 17CUD2248: 1.41m (true width) @ 5.23g/t Au from 125.67m downhole including 0.33m (true width) @ 9.93g/t on M2. 17CUD2249: 0.45m (true width) @ 54.54g/t Au from 147.0m downhole on M2 17CUD2250: 0.16m (true width) @ 13.99g/t Au from 100.0m downhole, 0.25m (true width) @ 108.88g/t Au from 150.0m downhole and 0.29m (true width) @ 29.76g/t Au from 167.2m downhole on M2. The intersections observed on the third fan to date are very similar to the results received on the top two fans for the Phase 2 deeps program released on 26 October 2017, 6 December 2017 and 9 January 2018. A zone of high grade gold mineralisation has now been intersected on the 115, 95 and 70mRLs which indicates grade continuity down plunge on the M2 lode over these three levels. Mining has recently commenced on the 115mRL level.
