Taiwan Sanyo Electric Co.,Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 1,600.247 million compared to TWD 1,450.470 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 146.487 million compared to TWD 57.841 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 123.939 million compared to TWD 53.052 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.48 compared to TWD 0.2 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 2,770.203 million compared to TWD 2,678.927 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 178.041 million compared to TWD 105.073 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 157.127 million compared to TWD 97.541 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.61 compared to TWD 0.38 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.6 compared to TWD 0.38 a year ago.
Taiwan Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. is principally engaged the manufacturing and distribution of household electrical appliances. The Companyâs products consist of household electrical appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers and air conditioners; wireless products, including color televisions, thin televisions, video and audio disk players; small household electrical appliances, including stereos, electrical fans, electrical shavers, electrical cookers, microwave ovens and mixers, among others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
