Taiwan Sanyo Electric Co.,Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 1,597.213 million compared to TWD 1,600.247 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 133.023 million compared to TWD 146.487 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 109.904 million compared to TWD 123.939 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.42 compared to TWD 0.48 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 2,912.264 million compared to TWD 2,770.203 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 203.195 million compared to TWD 178.041 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 168.720 million compared to TWD 157.127 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.65 compared to TWD 0.61 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.65 compared to TWD 0.6 a year ago.
Taiwan Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. is principally engaged the manufacturing and distribution of household electrical appliances. The Companyâs products consist of household electrical appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers and air conditioners; wireless products, including color televisions, thin televisions, video and audio disk players; small household electrical appliances, including stereos, electrical fans, electrical shavers, electrical cookers, microwave ovens and mixers, among others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
